Dzorwulu Clash: Police Say Calm Is Restored

The Ghana Police Service has reported calm is back at Dzorwulu in the Greater Accra Region after a clash.

A viral video of the disturbance showed at least four young men retreating from a vehicle set ablaze with the driver of the vehicle lying motionless on the street.

The driver’s side door of the vehicle, according to the video, was opened while the victim believed to be the driver lay bellywise a few metres from the opened door.

The one who took the video approached the victim after the alleged pertrators left the scene and confirmed he was still alive.

The incident, according to the commentator, took place at Central Dzorwulu.

The police said the disturbance is connected to a land dispute.

The Service also assured that it has the situation under control.

“The Police are in control of the situation and calm has since been restored. We, therefore, wish to urge the public to remain calm.”

It is unclear if any arrest has been made yet.
