Japanese Arrested In Ghana

The Ghana Police Service has reported the arrest of a Japanese national in Ghana after his passport was revoked in Japan.

The police in Ghana confirm that Morikawa Hikawu was arrested upon a request from the International Police (INTERPOL) in Tokyo.

Hikawu has already been put before a court and is awaiting his removal from Ghana according to the police.

“The INTERPOL unit of the Ghana Police Service is working with the Ghana Immigration Service, INTERPOL Tokyo, and Japanese Embassy in Ghana for his removal”, the police reported.
