26 Trapped after Mercedes Sprinter went Ablaze in Multiple Vehicle Collision at Kintampo

The Ghana National Fire Service has reported three casualties after 26 passengers were trapped in a multiple vehicle collision at Kintampo in the Bono East Region.
According to a statement, a Mercedes Sprinter collided with parked cars and caught fire on December 24.
“The incident occurred while a towing vehicle was attempting to tow a Kia Bongo that had fallen into a pit three days earlier.”
Following a rescue and recovery operation by personnel of the GNFS, three individuals reported injuries and were transported to Kintampo Municipal Hospital for treatment.
“The incident highlights the importance of road safety and caution while driving. The GNFS continues to educate the public on fire safety and emergency response.”
