Renowned French Fashion Designer Christian Louboutin Joins Asantehene for 7th Akwasidae
Renowned French luxury footwear and fashion designer Christian Louboutin was among the distinguished global guests who gathered at the Manhyia Palace to celebrate the seventh Akwasidae Festival of the year.
The colourful cultural celebration took place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in Kumasi.
Paying homage to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the 63-year-old iconic designer expressed his profound admiration for His Majesty and the rich heritage of the Asante Kingdom.
“I am very honoured to be here. It is my first day here, and I am truly inspired,” Louboutin stated during his presentation to the King.
He further sought the Asantehene’s royal blessings to support and advance his artistic vision and ongoing global projects.
