The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has given an update on investigative proceedings involving the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah.

In a news release dated October 2, 2026, and signed by the Head of Corporate Affairs and Public Education for the Executive Director, EOCO said the MP voluntarily surrendered to the Office on October 1, 2026, at 10 a.m.

The Office said it continues with the various and necessary investigative, procedural and operational processes and that the suspect is cooperating with the Office to continue with the necessary investigative processes and procedures.

EOCO added that it is mindful of the applicable constitutional timeframes and procedural requirements governing bail and is working with the Office of the Attorney-General to bring the suspect before a weekend court.

The Office also urged the public to disregard media reports that it has granted the suspect a GHC50 million bail.
