Nana Ama McBrown Flags Fake Accounts Using Her Name to Solicit Money

Actress Nana Ama McBrown has cautioned the public against scam accounts using her photos, name and details to create fake profiles to solicit money and investments.

In a statement shared on her social media pages, the actress said it had come to her attention that impersonators were sending direct messages asking for money and investments.

“It has come to my attention that scam accounts are using my photos, name, and details to create fake profiles and send direct messages asking for money/investments,” she said.

McBrown clarified that she only operates through official accounts listed in a graphic she shared, and stressed that she will never send direct messages asking for money, gift cards, financial investments or sensitive information.

She urged the public to help curb the activities of the impersonators by not replying or sending money when contacted.

She also advised the public to report such accounts by going to the profile options menu, selecting Report, then Impersonation / Pretending to be someone I know, and blocking the account.
