Ghana Signs Enhanced Labour Agreement With Saint Kitts And Nevis For Nurses

Ghana and Saint Kitts and Nevis have signed an additional bilateral labour agreement that guarantees enhanced service conditions for Ghanaian nurses.

Under the agreement, Ghanaian nurses sent to Saint Kitts and Nevis will enjoy legally protected enhanced salaries, health insurance, rent allowance, end-of-service benefits, among other labour rights.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, The Honourable Dr Geoffrey Hanley, signed the agreement in the margins of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The Minister commended Ghanaian professionals for making Ghana proud all over the world, as many countries continue to seek their outstanding services and expertise.

“Ghana will continue to pursue impactful diplomacy which benefits the people we serve. Long live the excellent Ghana-Saint Kitts and Nevis relations,” he said.
