GTP Fashion Visits Asantehemaa to Strengthen Manhyia Bond

Management of GTP Fashion has paid a courtesy visit to the Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Yaa Akyaa II, to strengthen its collaboration with the Manhyia Palace.
The visit on Friday, September 11, 2026, served to formally congratulate the Asantehemaa on her victory enstoolment, introduce the brand’s management team, extend the company’s goodwill, and seek her blessings.
The delegation was led by Mr Kwesi Baiden, Head of Sales, alongside Mr Eugene Appiah Darko, Area Manager, and several of the company’s leading distributors.
As part of the visit, the delegation presented Her Majesty with a selection of premium GTP fabrics.
Speaking to Opemsuo Radio following the engagement, Mr Baiden highlighted GTP’s longstanding commitment to the Manhyia Palace and emphasised ongoing efforts to deepen that relationship.
“We came to introduce ourselves to the Asantehemaa. We had not yet had the opportunity to come here. We are here on behalf of our Managing Director, Mr Kojo Agyenim Boateng,” he said.
Touching on its relationship with Manhyia Palace, he disclosed that GTP Fashion designed the 20th anniversary cloth of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, as well as his 25th anniversary cloth and the funeral cloth of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom II.
“We have a solid relationship with Manhyia, and we intend to strengthen it,” he asserted.
