National Ambulance Service Flags Fake Recruitment Notice
The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has debunked a viral publication purporting to be a protocol recruitment exercise for the Service.
The fake flyer, which has been circulating on social media, is headlined “GHANA AMBULANCE SERVICE RECRUITMENT BY PROTOCOL” and bears images of two ambulance personnel and ambulances.
It lists purported recruitment and service guidelines, including requirements for applicants to be physically and medically fit, have good communication skills, and be willing to serve in any part of the country.
The flyer further directs interested applicants to apply via WhatsApp at number 053 271, by sending their full name, age, location and highest qualification.
The Service has stamped the publication as “FAKE NEWS” and cautioned the public against it.
According to the disclaimer on the flyer, “This is FAKE NEWS. THE NATIONAL AMBULANCE SERVICE IS CURRENTLY NOT RECRUITING.”
The NAS has urged the public to stay alert and disregard the fraudulent notice, and to rely only on its official communication channels for any announcements regarding recruitment.
