Ghana, Burkina Faso Chart New Chapter Of Partnership On Human Capital – Nana Oye Bampoe Addo

Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration), Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, has said Ghana and Burkina Faso are charting a new chapter of partnership built on shared knowledge, skills and human capital.

She made the remarks at HR CAFÉ 2026, the 10th edition of the conference and its first international edition hosted in Ghana, under the theme “Shaping the Future of Work.”

According to Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Africa’s greatest strength lies in its people, stressing that investing in education, skills and capacity is not merely an economic choice but the foundation for the continent’s productivity and transformation.

“Our continent’s greatest resource is its human capital,” she noted.

Speaking on the future of public service, the Deputy Chief of Staff said it demands discipline, innovation and accountability.

She pointed to Ghana’s ongoing reforms, from digital transformation and AI-enabled services to stronger governance and performance management, as evidence that institutions thrive on the quality of their people.

“Institutions are only as strong as the people who run them,” she stated.

Nana Oye Bampoe Addo further emphasised the need for both countries to embrace technology while keeping people at the centre of development.

“Technology must remain the servant, and the human being the master, never the reverse,” she said.

She called on Ghana and Burkina Faso to continue learning from one another, noting that through human capital development, ethical leadership and modern tools, the two nations can build more productive, efficient and responsive public sectors for Africa’s future.
