Ghana Named Second Runner-Up For Most Innovative Business Tourism Destination In Africa

Ghana has been named Second Runner-Up for the Most Innovative Business Tourism Destination in Africa at the Africa Tourism Leadership Forum (ATLF) Awards.

The awards ceremony was held in Polokwane, Limpopo, South Africa.

The recognition reflects Ghana’s growing influence and appeal as a destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) on the continent, complementing its established leadership in heritage and cultural tourism.

Receiving the award on behalf of Ghana, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) responsible for General Services, Mr Ben Anane Nsiah, said Ghana is increasingly emerging as one of Africa’s top business tourism destinations.

Also notable at the event was Professor Kobby Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), who was a panelist on AI in Tourism Investment, presenting the case of GTDC’s innovation in deploying AI for tourism development and investment.
