KMA Gives Billboard Operators 14 Days To Regularise Permits Or Face Removal

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has given all billboard operators within the metropolis a 14-day ultimatum to regularise their operations or risk having their billboard structures removed.

The directive, effective Tuesday, September 1, 2026, forms part of measures to ensure compliance with the Assembly’s regulations.

According to the Assembly, all operators are required to report to the KMA and produce valid permits and proof of payment of the appropriate fees for the 2026 financial year.

The Assembly warned that any billboard structure whose operator fails to provide valid proof of the required permit and payment within the stipulated period will be removed in accordance with the applicable regulations.

“All affected operators are therefore urged to comply within the stipulated period to avoid enforcement action,” the statement added.

For verification and submission of the required documents, operators have been directed to visit the Physical Planning Department of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, located at the Adum Ministries area, near the Ghana Immigration Service Regional Command.

The Management of KMA expressed appreciation for the cooperation of all stakeholders as it works to ensure a safe, orderly, and properly regulated urban environment within the metropolis.
