ECG Announces Planned Maintenance In Ashanti Region

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that it will undertake planned maintenance works in parts of the Ashanti Region to improve service delivery.
The announcement was contained in notices issued on Monday, 31st August, 2026.
According to ECG, the exercise will result in temporary power outages in some communities.
It will undertake the planned maintenance works on Tuesday, September 1 and Wednesday, September 2, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
On Tuesday, the affected communities will include Appiadu, Kokoben, Donyina, Asonkore, Kwabenakwa, Taslima, Tewobaabi, Adiembra, Edubiase, Daa, Fucai, Patasi, Kyekyewere, Abrankese, Jachie, Pramso, Abidjan Nkwanta, Aputuogya and Behenease and their surrounding areas.
On Wednesday, the exercise will affect New Baakoyeden, Kyekyewere, Ntonsua, Amamom, Adaase, Akatakyieso, Kwadwo Nkwanta and surrounding areas.
ECG has apologised for the inconvenience that will arise out of the exercise and advised residents in the affected areas to take note of the schedule and plan accordingly.
