Agric Ministry Engages Poultry Stakeholders On Next Phase Of Nkoko Nketenkete Initiative

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) has engaged key stakeholders in the poultry industry to review progress under the Nkoko Nketenkete Initiative and shape the next phase of its implementation.

The stakeholder meeting, held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, brought together officials from MoFA, the Feed Ghana Secretariat, regional and district agricultural offices, the National Poultry Farmers Association and other actors across the poultry value chain.

Discussions focused on strengthening local poultry production, improving market access, reducing production costs and addressing implementation challenges.

Stakeholders also shared positive experiences from beneficiaries and proposed measures to make the initiative more effective and sustainable as it expands nationwide.

According to the Ministry, the recommendations from the engagement will inform the design and implementation of the next phase of the initiative, reaffirming MoFA’s commitment to building a stronger, competitive and sustainable poultry industry.
