Immigration Service and Boundary Commission Pledge Stronger Collaboration to Secure Ghana’s Borders

The Comptroller-General of Immigration, Mr Samuel Basintale Amadu, and the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Boundary Commission, Maj. Gen. Anthony Ntem, have agreed on practical strategies to safeguard Ghana’s territorial boundaries and strengthen inter-agency collaboration.

The meeting, held at the National Headquarters of the Ghana Immigration Service in Accra, underscored the two institutions’ shared resolve to deepen cooperation in border management.

Discussions focused on enhancing information sharing, joint operations, and coordinated responses to emerging threats along Ghana’s land borders.

Both leaders highlighted the importance of synergy between the Immigration Service and the Boundary Commission in protecting the nation’s borders and advancing national security.

They noted that effective boundary management requires a unified approach that leverages the mandate of the Immigration Service in border control with the Boundary Commission’s role in the demarcation and preservation of Ghana’s international boundaries.
