2027 Hajj Fare Set at GHC60k

The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana has announced that the official fare for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage will remain at GHC60,000, the same as the 2026 package.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, August 12, 2026, the Office said the decision was to ensure continuity and affordability for prospective pilgrims.

The Office noted that payment collection for Hajj 2027 begins with immediate effect.

According to PAOG, registration will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis and will close once Ghana’s allocated quota is exhausted.

Intending pilgrims have been advised to complete their payments and submit all required documentation early to avoid last-minute difficulties.

The Office specified two approved payment channels. Payments can be made through accredited Hajj agents using the official PAOG payment code, or paid directly to PAOG through its official GCB Bank accounts.

PAOG warned that it will not be responsible for any payments made outside these approved channels and cautioned the public to desist from transacting with unaccredited agents or intermediaries to protect prospective pilgrims from fraud.

Hon. Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim, Chairman of PAOG and the Ghana Hajj Board, said the Office remains committed to ensuring a safe, transparent, and successful Hajj for all Ghanaian pilgrims, and to building on the gains made during Hajj 2026.
