You Are Future Black Stars Players- Otumfuo To Dreams And Medeama
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has reminded players of Medeama Sporting Club and Dreams Football Club that they represent Ghana’s future in the sport.
He noted during a joint meeting with the players on November 29, 2023 that they are potential senior national team players who would be required to chalk unattained achievements and reach the unreached heights the country desperately desires and hungers for.
“You are future Black Stars players.”
He thus urged them to play effortfully and take the profession with the utmost ardency and zeal.
“You have chosen this path and profession and so you must tackle it with the needed passion to secure a brighter future for yourselves and the country.”
With the needed effort and hard work, he said they will be able to carve out a niche for themselves just as most international players have.
His Majesty made the submission on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, when a joint delegation made up of players, management and the technical teams of champions Medeama SC and Dreams FC called on him at the Manhyia Palace.
Among the delegation on the Medeama side were Joseph Tetteh Jutah, the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Administrator, Nana Yaw Amankwa, the Assistant Coach and Nana Effah Asare, a Communication member.
On Dreams side were the President of the Club, Mohammed Jiji Alifoe and Head Coach Abdul Karim Zito.
They were led by Frederick Acheampong, an Executive Council (ExCo) member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to officially inform Otumfuo about their CAF interclub group games this weekend at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Medeama will play against FC Belouizdad on Friday, December 1, 2023, whereas Dreams will lock horns with Rivers United on Sunday, December 3, 2023.
