You are a Treasured Symbol- YPYC to Otumfuo

The Young Professionals and Young Coalition (YPYC) says Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is a treasured Symbol whose singular personality epitomizes and transcends cultural and national boundaries.

Characterising his leadership as quintessential, the organization numbered the uncountable and evident achievements of the King under his combination of traditional, cultural values and contemporary leadership principles.

“A modern-day King who combines traditional and cultural values with contemporary leadership principles to restore peace where there is chaos and instability, who brings hope, relief and succour where there is despair, and who has for over two decades, twenty-five (25) years to be specific expanded the frontiers of education for thousands of Ghanaian youth in the low-income earning bracket.

“From Politics to Education, OTUMFUO OSEI TUTU (Il) has provided the much-needed moral authority and contained potentially volatile ethnic and national situations away from the prying eyes of the media and the unsuspecting public.”

They recognize that youth development has taken centre stage in his leadership as his non-governmental organization, the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, embarks on programmes such as the Teachers Awards Scheme and Mobile Learning Project.

The YPYC believes it is an act of futility attempting to capture Otumfuo’s credentials on a piece of paper and thereby declared, “Suffice it to say you are a treasured Symbol whose singular personality epitomizes and transcends Cultural and National boundaries.”

They thus conferred on him The Ultimate Grand Africa Role Model Lifetime Achievement Award, their most prestigious title.

The non-profit youth development-oriented organization visited the Manhyia Palace on June 5, 2024.

They were led by their founder and leader, Mr Andy Okrah.
