Coach Prince Yaw Owusu replied to the media during the post-match news conference following the home win, when he was questioned about the role of the new board in Asante Kotoko players’ remarkable performance.

He reacted when he was questioned whether the players were playing to save their future at the club.

Mr. Yaw Owusu stated, “Yeah, it could be a factor, because the newly constituted board came to the training grounds as well and boosted their morale that they should push it. I think that was the best thing that has happened to us over the two weeks, and then we saw a mass change. So what you are saying is right.”
