Why Would You Sully Yourself In This Manner; Alan Asks Kufuor
Independent Presidential candidate Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng has bemoaned former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s decision to soil his prestigious image by endorsing the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
From his observation of the aftermath of the endorsement, he concluded that the 85-year-old has stained his hard-built political career.
“What he [Mr. Kufuor] has done has created a big blot on his political career,” Alan said in an interview on Oyerepa TV.
“Just take a look at the backlash generated against him following the endorsement. Look at the insults hurled at him. For someone who has had a distinguished career in politics, why would you sully yourself in a manner that calls for insults?”
In a recent interaction with some journalists, the former President openly threw his weight behind Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in his quest for Presidency as he highlighted his contributiton to the revival of the country’s fiscals during his tenure as President.
“I have observed his remarkable abilities in economic enhancement during my tenure, as he was integral to the Bank of Ghana’s team under Governor Dr. Paul Acquah, contributing to the revival of the currency,” Kufuor stated.
Mr Kufuor thus urged Ghanaians to give him their utmost support in the December polls.
