WhatsApp Users Can Now Log Onto Same Account On Multiple Phones
Meta has announced that WhatsApp users can now access the same account on more than one phone.
The update has been enrolled and users can access it from today, April 25.
This was announced by Mark Zuckerberg, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp and Facebook.
With this, users can access the same account on up to four phones, he announced.
In a Facebook post he said, “Starting today, you can log into the same WhatsApp account on up to four phones”.
Until today, a WhatsApp account could not be accessed on more than one phone.
The update has been welcomed by users.
One commented, “Excellent! That’s very useful. I have an Apple Phone and an Android phone,” with another saying, “This will be a lot helpful. I’m impressed with this development.”
The messaging app was founded in 2009 and obtained by Zuckerberg in 2014 for US$19 billion.
It allows users to send text and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images, documents, user locations, and other content.
WhatsApp’s client application runs on mobile devices and can be accessed from computers. The service requires a cellular mobile telephone number to sign up.
