We’ve Not Reinstated Interdicted Headmasters- GES
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has discredited reports of reinstating interdicted Senior High School (SHS) head teachers.
The Service in a social media post said the news was false as investigations are still ongoing.
“Investigations on the interdicted Heads of Senior High Schools are still ongoing. Kindly disregard any false information about their reinstatement.”
The GES also promised to publish the outcome of the investigations.
“Management assures all stakeholders and the public that the outcome of the investigations will be made known to all when completed.”
The GES suspended at least eleven head teachers across the country for various offences including taking unauthorized monies as conditions for the admission of first-year students.
The affected head teachers include Mrs Selina Anane Afoakwa, Headmistress of Kumasi Girls’ SHS, Mr Nataniel Asamoah, Headmaster of Asanteman SHS, Mr. Andrews Boateng, Headmaster of Kumasi Senior High Technical School and Mr Kwadwo Obeng-Appiah, Headmaster of Manso-Edubia SHS
Also affected are Mr Daniel Boamah Duku, Headmaster of the Agric Nzema Community SHS, Ms Gladys Sarfowah, Headmistress of Nkawie Senior High Technical School, Mr Ampong Ahmed Omar, Headmaster of Collins SHS, Mr Afi Yaw Stephen, Headmaster of Berekum Senior High School, Mr Joseph Jilinjeh Abudu, Headmaster of Odomaseman Senior High School, head mistress of O’Reilly Senior High School, Nadia Lartechoe Annan and Headmistress of Ghana Senior High School, Patience Naki Mensah.
