We’ll Work Hard to Win; Black Queens Coach on Friendlies

The Head coach of the Black Queens, Kim Lars Björkegren, is willing to input the needed work for a win against Morocco today.
Addressing the press prior to the game, he conceded that the opponents are a good side and advantaged as the home side.
However, his focus remains on building the team and preparing it for the Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
“Morocco is a good team with a lot of talent. Playing away from home will be a challenge, especially with our new coaching staff and players. But we’re focused on building for the long term, learning from our mistakes, and preparing for the summer tournament. We’ll work hard to win, but we’re also looking at the bigger picture.”
The Queens will play at the Pere Jego Stadium in Casablanca on Friday at 17:00Hrs before locking horns with AS FAR Rabat three days later.
The FA is confident that the friendly will provide Coach Björkegren, who just took over the Queens, with an opportunity to assess the current squad and newly invited players.
The Black Queens have been drawn into Group C of the WAFCON, alongside defending champions South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania.
