We’ll Do Exploits In Unity; Asantehene Tells Nii Ga

The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has enumerated the kind of things Asante and Ga will be able to accomplish in Ghana with the weapon of unity and harmony in hand.

He believes peace and development reside in the virtue of unity and so must be earnestly sought and approached.

During a courtesy call by the Ga Mantse, Nii Teiko Tsuru II to the Manhyia Palace on Thursday, September 12, 2024, Otumfuo relived the beauty their union, projected as a model and exemplar for the world to learn from.

“It’s all brotherly love. He (Ga Mantse) left his home and stayed with me for about a week for my anniversary celebrations. So when I went to Accra, I decided to go extend my felicitations. He received us with a beautiful event. I enjoyed it very much and didn’t even want to leave.”

The Occupant of the Golden Stool noted that these gestures reflected brotherly love and prayed that what they have started gets reinforced.

“It’s all love. I pray to God it grows to procreate unity so we live in harmony and understanding. When we unite, Ghana will taste peace and development. We will do exploits in unity. Let’s unite and make it beautiful.”

Education Fund Cheque
Otumfuo used the occasion to honour his GHc500,000 commitment towards the education of Ga youth through the Ga Mantse Foundation.

Courtesy Call
Speaking on behalf of Nii Ga through linguist Otseame Laryea II, Nii Ahene Nunoo, the Paramount Chief of Abo La, said their visit bordered on appreciation.

“Nii Ga’s visit is an expression of appreciation. When Otumfuo was marking his 25th Anniversary Nii Ga came to support. After that Otumfuo came with Asanteman to Accra and was given a warm reception with a durbar. We came to thank Otumfuo for having his back. We also thank Otumfuo for the commitment he made towards the Ga Mantse Foundation.”

Among the delegation of the Ga Mantse were Naa Suomo, the Queen of Mamprobi, Dr Bishop Lawrence Tetteh, the Founder and President of Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Nii Boye Abbey, a member of his office and Edward Darlington, his lawyer.

Private Talks
The Asantehene and the Ga Manste later held closed-door interactions at the Palace.
