We Pray God Protects Our King Solomon so We Always Tap From His Wisdom- IGP

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has sought longevity and divine protection for Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, in a heartfelt public supplication.
He described the Occupant of the Golden Stool as King Solomon of Ghana, whose longevity will inure to the immense benefit of the nation.
Expressing appreciation for the support His Majesty offers the police service and Ghana, he conveyed his profound gratitude.
“Otumfuo, we thank you for our mother, Ghana. We thank you for maintaining good security for this country. We thank you for the advice you give us, and we pray that God will continue to protect you, the King Solomon of this country, so that we may continue to come and tap wisdom from you. It is not the Ghana Police Service, but the whole nation is proud of you.”
He also prayed for strength and guidance from God for the Monarch.
“We know God will continue to strengthen and guide you throughout the journey of the year for more Akwasidae to come.”
The IGP made these remarks when, together with the Police Management Board (POMAB), joined the first Akwasidae celebration on February 1, 2026, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
