We Haven’t Increased Transport Fares – ISTC Coaches Limited
The Management of Intercity STC Coaches Limited says transport fares remain unchanged despite the increase in fuel prices.
In a statement issued on April 9, 2026, it said it would operate strictly in accordance with directives from the Ministry of Transport and only implement fare adjustments as approved by the appropriate authorities.
It therefore urged the public to disregard any rumours suggesting that ISTC Coaches Limited had increased its fares.
“We sincerely appreciate the trust and loyalty of our valued customers and reaffirm our commitment to delivering quality service at all times.”
It comes after VIP JEOUN Transport increased fares across the operational regions in the wake of global fuel price increments as a result of the ongoing war between Iran and Israel, supported by the United States of America (USA).
Meanwhile, the government has ordered the Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, to suspend some taxes and margins on fuel for the next four weeks.
