We Have Plans- Coach Hauptle
The head coach of the Black Queens, Nora Hauptle has devised a plan to counter the Copper Queens of Zambia in the return leg of the Women’s Olympic Games qualifiers on Wednesday.
In a post-match press conference, the 40-year-old Swizz Manager said she was hoping the plan would give Ghana the needed result to qualify for the next round.
“I hope it will be a good football game tomorrow evening for us. We also have some plans for tomorrow and it’s our approach to be stable in the game, we need to score and we are aware of that and you will see our plan tomorrow on the pitch,” she said at the presser on February 27.
On the last game, the coach said despite the defeat, her side was the best on the pitch.
“We lost the game 1:0 in Accra but we had a good performance on the pitch. When you look at the statistics, they were all on our side and we deserved that. I think that’s how football goes sometimes.”
After arriving in Zambia earlier this week, the Queens have had a series of trainings. They will lock horns with opponents at the Levy Nwanawasa Sports Stadium in Ndola today.
The Black Queens lost to Zambia by 1-0 on February 23 at the Accra Sports Stadium after conceding an early goal in the first half.
