W/R: Police Recover EPA Stolen Vehicle

The police have successfully recovered a Toyota Land Cruiser (PC) belonging to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Tarkwa in the Western Region that was stolen some days ago.

Alongside the recovery, police officers from the Northern Regional Police Command arrested a man identified as Salifu Gariba for his alleged role in the theft.

A statement issued said the user of the vehicle with registration number GS 1845-23 woke up to the absence of the car from his residence at Budo City.

“Preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle was stolen in the early hours of 15th April 2025 from the residence of an employee of the EPA at Budo City, a suburb of Tarkwa.”

Gariba was arrested by officers of the Northern Regional Police Command on April 16, 2025, at Kukobila, along the Tamale-Bolgatanga highway, with the stolen vehicle.

Suspect Salifu Gariba is currently in police custody of the Western Central Regional Police Command and will be taken through the due process of the law.
