USA Pats Ghana For Successful Presidential Election
The United States of America (USA) has commended Ghana for a successful presidential election.
It observes that the election reflected the will of Ghanaians.
“Congratulations to all Ghanaians on a successful election that reflects the will of the Ghanaian people,” the US Embassy in Ghana wrote in a social media post.
It also commended all the Presidential Candidates, particularly the Presidential Candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for standing by democratic principles before, during and after the elections.
“We commend all of the candidates that stood for election this cycle and their commitment to peaceful elections and the transfer of power as so eloquently expressed in Vice President @MBawumia concession speech.”
The statement signed by the envoy, H.E Virginia Palmer expressed America’s commitment to continuing their strong partnership with Ghana under President-elect, John Dramani Mahama.
It added, “We stand with the people of Ghana and their belief in the power of the people and that #DemocracyDelivers. #USAmbPalmer”
