Two Women Arrested For Illegal Drug Possession
Two women are in the custody of the Eastern North Regional Police Command after being arrested for possession of substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
The women were found with 1,650 slabs of compressed and ball-shaped substances suspected to be Indian hemp at Antokrom in the Eastern Region on Wednesday, May 14.
They have been identified as Hawa Ibrahim and Latifa Adams.
“A search conducted at the residence of suspect Hawa Ibrahim led to the retrieval of twenty-four (24) maxi bags containing the suspected narcotic substances,” a part of a statement issued by the police read.
The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations and will be taken through the due process of the law to face justice.
