Two Arrested Over Death Of #fixthecountry Campaigner.
The Ghana Police Service has announced that two persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of Ibrahim Anyas Mohammed.
The two included Ibrahim Issaka and Fuseini Alhassan.
The Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer, ASP Godwin Ahianyo reported that they were arrested yesterday, Monday, June 28 at 10:45 pm and will assist in police investigation.
The forty-five year old #fixthecountry campaigner was a social media activist until his death on Monday 28th June, 2021 after he was attacked by a mob at Saturday dawn.
Reports say he was a social media activist way before the #fixthe country campaign was launched.
He highligted projects demanding urgent attention in Ejura where he resided with his family on social media, according to his brother.
His family said Mohammed Ibrahim reported he was receiving threats due to what he was doing on social media and believes the attack on his life was sparked by his demand for the right thing to be done.
Nevertheless the Ghana Police Service said they are working to ascertain whether his death is linked to his work and or the movement.
