‘Do Not Treat This Case As You Usually Do’- NDC tells Ghana Police Service

The Youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned the attack on social activist, Ibrahim Mohammed Anyas who was beaten to pulp by a mob and subsequently led to his demise.
In a communique, the NDC demanded justice for his death and charged the Ghana Police Service not to treat the case as they(Ghana Police Service) often do.
According to them the death of one Ghanaian is the death of all and therefore will not tolerate any attempt by the Police Service to treat the case any how.
“The Police Service must not treat this like it’s business as usual because we will not tolerate; the death of one Ghanaian is the death of us all.”
“It is appalling to note that prior to his death, the late Kaaka received several death threats but the Police did not act on it. It is an indictment on the Ghana Police Service that while they should be following up on such issues, they are occupied with preventing harmless citizens from exercising their constitutional right with frivolous lawsuits.”
“For a very long time, our security set up has not lived up to expectation, leaving crime to continue to rise. Government must accept responsibility and clean up the mess that has infuriated their ranks by untrained and clueless party foot soldiers who are being used to harass people who dare speak up.”
