TikToker Asantewaa Apologises For Music Trend Statement
Ghanaian TikToker, Martina Dwamena, known as Asantewaa has apologised to persons offended by her recent comment on United Showbiz.
The TikTok star is quoted to have said that “It doesn’t matter how long you have played your music game when you release the song it is no longer about the craft unless the song is being given to us, else you will have to jam to the song yourself”.
On the back of this, Asantewaa has been subjected to public backlash.
Reacting to the backlash in an almost 3-minute pre-recorded video posted by Pulse Ghana, the TikToker apologised.
“I’m sorry if anybody felt I was talking against them but we were all having fun. It wasn’t intentional to hurt anybody’s feelings”, she said but not without justification.
According to her, the statement she made has been taken out of context by the bloggers and also reiterated that her statement on the show was made jovially.
“People are misquoting me”, she said and added “I woke up the next morning to see blogs all over that Asantewaa is saying without them, without tiktokers, music can’t be music again. How? I can’t even write music. I respect all the musicians. I respect the fact that you guys invest a lot in your craft
