‘There’s No Secret’ – Semenyo on His Quick Adaptation at Man City

Red-hot English-born Ghana international, Antoine Selorm Semenyo had two-goal involvements in Manchester City’s resounding 3-0 home win over Fulham in round 26 of the Premier League on Wednesday, February 11.
The 26-year-old, who arrived at the Etihad Stadium in the recently-closed January transfer window, registered his fifth goal and second assist in the City colours as they thumped on the West London-based club at home.
Semenyo, was eagerly waiting for this moment as this goal has taken his tally to 13 so far, making him the Ghanaian with the highest goals in a single campaign in the English topflight league.
In a post-match interview, the lanky attacker gave insights of what really transpired in the game to push them to maximum points. He further indicated his quick acclimatization at Manchester City has no secrets.
“There are no secrets! It’s just being part of a great team, a great environment, the coach has been great and they’ve made it easy for me to settle. It’s all a fairytale right now,” said the Ghanaian after the game.
“[It was] very important [to win]. That was the message from when the game was done against Liverpool. Just backing up what we did on the weekend, it was a tough graft and we got the three points, today we did the same thing. I’m happy.”
“He [O’Reilly] has got that in the locker. He’s a very technical player. When I slid him in I knew he was going to score.”
Semenyo has now scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 25 Premier League appearances in the ongoing season and will target more in their subsequent matches.
He will be looking forward to making the stating XI again in their next fixture against Salford City in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday, February 13.
