Thereโs No Fixed Cut-off Point For SHS Placement- GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has stated that placement into various Senior High and Technical schools isnโt done with fixed cut-off points.
Rather, it is done primarily based on the ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ of students as well as the level of subscription/competitiveness of a school; the competitiveness of a particular programme; the aggregate of the candidate; Residential preferences (day or boarding); and the catchment area considerations.
In a press statement, it emphasised that the notion of fixed cut-off points is misleading and has no basis in the placement process.
โAnyone relying on such so-called cut-off benchmarks has been misinformed.โ
The GES therefore urged parents, guardians, and students to ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ด๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐๐๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฝ๐๐ฏ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐, as they are a mischievous attempt by unscrupulous persons to mislead the public.
โWe assure all stakeholders of a ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐, ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฟ, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐-๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ that gives every candidate the opportunity they deserve.โ
