Teacher Trainees Directed to Report to School Today

Students of the various Colleges of Education have been directed to report to their respective institutions on Monday, February 9, 2026, for academic activities to resume.
In a statement, the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) stated that this directive follows engagements and indications to address the concerns of the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG).
“However, following the latest engagements and indications to address the CETAG concerns, TTAG now strongly advises all Teacher Trainees to report to their respective colleges and resume academic activities as directed by the college authorities on Monday, February 9, 2026,” it noted.
It further clarified the Association did not call for a restart of the academic calendar but rather the recovery of the three (3) weeks of instructional time lost due to the strike.”
The communique followed an earlier one that directed members to remain at home at the height of the unresolved strike of their tutors.
