Take It Easy On “Respected” Majority Leader; Ablakwa To Suame Constituents
The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has urged constituents of Suame to be considerate with the Majority leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu.
Ablakwa’s seemingly mocking comment comes after some constituents of Suame hooted and pelted sachet water at their MP while he strolled the area to survey an abandoned road which was under construction on July 18, 2022.
The reaction of the constituents towards the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs was to register their displeasure at the government’s failure to complete the construction, which they say has taken a toll on businesses and the health of the artisans and other workers on that stretch of the road.
In a Facebook post, Ablakwa entreated the constituents to “open their eyes properly” to see the over 10,000 kilometres of roads President Akufo-Addo says he has constructed.
“The good people of Suame should simply open their eyes properly and see President Akufo-Addo’s 10,885 kilometres of new roads.
“We beg of them to take it easy on our respected Majority Leader, Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu”, the North Tongu legislator posted.
But according to the government, the construction of the Suame road stalled due to a shortage of Bitumen in the country.
