E/R: Police Probe Release of 2 Chinese Arrested Alongside 3 Galamseyers

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) says it is investigating the release of two Chinese nationals who were arrested on Friday.
They were arrested alongside three local illegal miners by some youth of Akoase in the Eastern Region and handed over to the Police.
“Investigation is currently ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the alleged release of two Chinese suspects who were said to have been arrested together with the three accused persons.”
Meanwhile, the locals were arraigned at the Mpraeso Circuit Court on March 25 where they were granted bail.
The three are Freeman Kwafo, Augustine Asoma and Bawa Muhammed.
They will reappear on 25th April, 2025.
