Kotoko Appoints Karim Zito As Interim Head Coach

Asante Kotoko SC has appointed Abdul Karim Zito as the new Technical Director.

In addition, he will replace Prosper Narteh Ogum who was sacked on Monday in the interim as head coach.

“He will also serve as Acting Head Coach on an interim basis until a substantive head coach is appointed,” it announced in a statement on April 22.

The club appointed Prince Yaw Owusu, a seasoned football technician with over two decades of coaching experience across Ghana, Sudan, and the United States as the Assistant Coach.

It also announced Malik Jabir as the Technical Advisor with the mandate of providing strategic guidance to support the club’s long-term objectives.

The Porcupines stated that this reflects key changes to the club’s technical leadership as part of an ongoing strategic restructuring.

“These appointments are part of Asante Kotoko’s renewed commitment to building a strong, visionary technical structure aimed at sustained competitive success.”
