Anne Sansa Daly Was Not Sworn In As NHIA Board Member- Authority

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has denied allegations that Anne Sansa Daly was sworn in alongside 13 others as Board Members of the Authority.

It explained that Daly whose medical qualification has been disputed was appointed along with other members of the Board in a letter dated May 19, 2025, and had the same revoked on May 23.

Acting on this, she was excluded from the rest of the appointees during the swearing-in on May 27.

“It is important to clarify that Ms. Daly was not sworn in on the 27th of May 2025, during the swearing-in ceremony held at the Ministry of Health.”

It reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and due process in all matters relating to public appointments.

The revocation of her appointment follows a controversy over her medical qualification.

Daly was profiled as a medical doctor graduate from the Johns Hopkins University Medical School in the United States, with a perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0.
