Fire Sweeps Through Bolgatanga Technical Institute Facilities
Some facilities at the Bolgatanga Technical Institute have been razed by fire.
The fire reported around midnight on Tuesday affected the library and the Senior Housemaster’s office.
Firefighters led by STNO II Azanga Peter Agambare responded to the incident and deployed both offensive and defensive firefighting tactics to bring the fire under control.
It was fully extinguished by 0156 hours, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported in a statement on August 19, 2025.
“Books, office furniture, equipment, and other property were destroyed, but the swift intervention of the Ghana National Fire Service prevented the fire from spreading to nearby school facilities.”
The Service has since commenced investigations into the cause of the fire.
