Mahama Is Determined to See Ghana’s Prosperity- Singapore President

President Tharman Shanmugaratnam has observed Ghana’s incumbent head of state’s insatiable desire to prosper his country and people.

In a Facebook post, he testified that President John Dramani Mahama was a “man on a mission” and expressed his joy at meeting him in person.

“He is determined to see his country and its young population succeed. I was very pleased to meet him today on his State Visit to Singapore.”

In the face of the West African country’s numerous and lingering economic challenges, he hinted at some partnership deals to assist Ghana.

“We are set for the exchange of carbon credits. And our businesses are looking forward to deeper engagement in agri-industry, the digital economy and fintech, and port modernisation and cold chains, among other areas.”

“President Mahama, who won a strong majority in Ghana’s elections on Dec 24, is now implementing major domestic reforms. He is also focused on attracting investments to create more value and jobs for Ghanaians.”

President Mahama is in Singapore on a three-day state visit.
