Three Arrested For Allegedly Stealing a Car
Three suspects have been arrested by the police for allegedly stealing a Hyundai Santa Fe at Sarpeiman in the Greater Accra Region.
Preliminary investigation established that the vehicle with registration number GG 2–18 went missing from a washing bay at Kuntunse Satellite in Accra on April 24, 2025.
Two of the suspects identified as Kwabena Tawiah and Kwadwo Asiedu, reportedly sold the car to the third suspect, Dennis Debra, for GH₵15,000.00, of which GH₵2,000.00 was paid as part payment.
The two were arrested from their hideout at a hotel in Nkawkaw, while the third suspect was arrested from Pemenase in the Ashanti Region with the vehicle retrieved.
“A search conducted on him led to the retrieval of the ignition key to the stolen vehicle,” a statement by the police said on Monday.
“The suspects and the vehicle have since been handed over to the Police in Accra to assist with investigations.”
