SONA 2025: Mahama Has Brought Hope- Majority Leader

The Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, sees hope for all Ghanaians in the administration of President John Dramani Mahama in the next four years.

Despite the “bleak” state of the economy, he sees better days ahead for all calibre of people in the country.

“Things are clearly bleak. I see on this side of the House my colleagues in black. It is obvious that they left the economy in a miserable state and the attire they adorn says it all. But this side is in white because HE the President, we knew was bringing us a message of hope,” he said after the State of the Nation Address (SONA) on February 27, 2025.

As such, he said the President will be backed with all the support of Parliament to deliver on his mandate and vision.

“We have no doubt that everything outlined here gives hope. We will support HE to deliver his commitment.”

Additionally, he noted that persons responsible for driving the country into the ditch it finds itself must be held accountable.

“More importantly, this House will support HE to deliver on the promise of accountability. Those who so damaged our economy must be held accountable and we will support him to deliver on the commitment for accountability.”
