Shamima Muslim, Joyce Bawah, Seth Terkper Get Presidential Appointments
In President John Dramani Mahama’s new set of released appointments, Broadcast journalist Shamima Muslim, Personal aide to the President, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, and former Finance Minister Seth Terkper were named among 10 appointees to the Presidency.
This is the second batch of appointments to the Presidency after Prosper Douglas Bani, COP Nathan Kofi Boakye (Rtd.), DCOP Abdul-Osman Razak and Charles Kipo.
A statement announcing the new appointments expressed confidence in them.
“President Mahama expresses confidence that these appointees will bring their expertise and dedication to their respective roles, contributing to the progress and development of the nation.”
Per the release, Mrs. Joyce Bawah Mogtari will serve as Presidential Adviser and special Assistant to the President; Seth Emmanuel Terkper will serve as Presidential Adviser on the Economy; Shamima Muslim will serve as Deputy Presidential Spokesperson; and Stanislav Xoese Dogbe will serve as Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations).
It also announced Nana Oye Bampoe Addo as Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration); Professor Francis Dodoo as Presidential Adviser for the National Anti-Corruption Programme; Larry Gbevlo-Lartey as Special Envoy to the Alliance of Sahelian States Presidential Staffer; and Nana Yaa Jantuah as Presidential Staffer.
Beatrice Annangfio was named Presidential Staffer while Professor Kwaku Danso-Boafo was named Cabinet Secretary.
The appointment, the Presidency said, was aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing operational efficiency.
“The new appointments reflect the President’s commitment to effective leadership and responsive administration,” it added.
