The local consultant for Contracta, the company in charge of the redevelopment of the Kumasi Central Market has announced a halt in the phase two of the project.

“After Christmas… we will resume work to make the market a better place for the traders to transact their businesses”, he added
He explained a halt in the second phase which started in May and was scheduled to be completed within 48 months, according to graphic online, will be lengthened but the availability of both human and material resources will speed up the work
“The duration will extend… all equipment and materials are ready. We will sometimes work 24hours, a batch will work on shift during the day and another at night”, he revealed.
