Sadick Adams Lambasts GPL Clubs Over Player Welfare

A member of Berekum Chelsea’s squad that made it to the CAF Champions’ League Group Stage in 2012, Sadick Adams has condemned management members of Ghana Premier League clubs.

Sadick Adams, who paid his dues to the Porcupine Warriors in the 2017/18 season and wrote his name in indelible ink by recording a hat-trick in the Super Clash during the 2017 MTN FA Cup in Tamale, did not mince words about management members.

The Herculean forward, Sadick Adams, was spotted joining selected former players of Asante Kotoko in a video that contained words of motivation for the team ahead of their Super Clash in Week 22 of the season.

Sadick, after plying his trade with Bangladeshi outfit, Arambagh KS, being his last club, has always sought players’ well-being and hence became one of the key members of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG).

Sadick has always been an enthusiast of the Ghana Football Association’s competitions at all levels, but he continues to criticise the decreasing standards of competitions, and he publicly condemned Obuasi Ashanti Gold FC’s brutalisation in a Division 1 league game in January 2026.

Adams wrote on his official Facebook page, condemning the attitude of management members toward giving serious attention to players’ remuneration and other monetary incentives in football.

Sadick wrote, “Some clubs are so quick to release press statements just to debunk and deny certain allegations and stories published by some of the sports media, but can’t do the same when the players are not paid for 1-2-3 to 4 months.”

Sadick Adams’s published statement has become a point for discussion by supporters of the Ghana Premier League, which is deemed eminent, especially after Hearts of Lions goalie, Lawrence Osei, ditched his career to embark on a journey to the United States of America.
