Royals From 2 African Kingdoms Join Akwasidae
The last Akwasidae of the year 2023 had royals from two African kingdoms joining and catching sight of the rich culture and tradition of the Asante Kingdom.
The Royals from Uganda and Morocco were led to the event which took place at the Afia Kobi Park at the Manhyia Palace by Lady Julia Osei Tutu, the wife of the King of the Asante Kingdom, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Queen Consort Sylvia Nagginda represented the Bugandan Royal Family in Uganda. She is the wife of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and is known as an ardent advocate of human development rooted in cultural values.
Representing the Moroccan Royal family was Her Royal Highness Rita Maria Zimba.
The royals were introduced to Otumfuo as he sat in state to receive homage. The guests used the opportunity to pay their homage and exchange pleasantries with the King.
The visit of the royals to the Asante Kingdom can only mean a developmental project or a collaboration is cooking and will be a matter of time before the world gets to know what is birthed.
The festival took place on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
