Rocky Dwamena Joins Dreams FC
Midfielder Rocky Dwamena has joined Dreams Football Club on a free transfer following the termination of his contract by the Asante Kotoko Sporting Club after the 2023/2024 season.
He is now on a three-year contract, the Club confirmed on their Facebook page on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
“We’re thrilled to announce the signing of Rocky Dwamena 🙌. The versatile midfielder has signed a contract that will run until 2027.”
The player who was left without a club following his relief said he felt fulfilled when he was approached with this opportunity.
According to him, it’s a moment he is grateful for.
“It was a moment of pure happiness for me when I received that call from Ameenu Shardow to join Dreams FC. The opportunity to be part of such a prestigious football club filled me with excitement and a sense of fulfilment. It’s a moment that I will always cherish and be grateful for.”
Dwamena was among the over 20 players the Porcupines parted ways with in June. According to a club statement, the players agreed to the termination of their contracts on mutual grounds.
Despite amassing glory at the continental level in reaching the CAF Confederation Cup Competition semi-finals, the 2022/2023 MTN FA Cup Champions, failed to replicate the same in the domestic competitions.
They failed to defend the title and finished ninth in the league with 48 points and will be aiming to do better in the new season.
