Report: Nearly 30,000 Tickets Sold For Ghana-Angola Clash
Reports indicate that nearly 30,000 tickets have been sold through the e-ticketing platform for the first leg of Ghana’s qualifier against Angola in the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The reports come a few hours into the game.
There had been concerns about spectator attendance at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the game following a drastic reduction in attendance for local games.
As of Wednesday evening, 3 Sports reported that over 10,000 tickets had been sold out for the game.
Ghana will take on Angola in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers in Kumasi today, March 23 at the stadium.
Less than two hours into the game, 30,000 tickets have been sold through the e-ticketing platform.
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium has a capacity of 40,528.
The return fixture will be played in Luanda, the capital city of Angola on March 27 to book a slot in the tournament.
The list of starting players from Chris Hughton’s side will be released at 3 pm today.
